Far too often I hear from people how they don’t drink tea because either they don’t know anything about it or they don’t think it’s very good. To those type of people I usually just curse them out and tell them how moronic they sound. Okay that’s not true, that’s me trying to sound super tough.
However, I do understand where they are coming from. I was in their shoes many years ago as well, so I get it. I always like to ask them, if they enjoy drinking coffee. More often than not, they will say they love it. I will then do a follow-up question asking they loved coffee the first time they tried it or the second or even the tenth. Just like the answer as before, they usually tell me how they had to learn to enjoy coffee.
This goes the same for all tea drinkers of the world, for the most part, they had to learn to love tea. There are some benefits to learning to love tea though. The first is that there are a lot of variations of it, so you are usually able to find a few that you love from the get-go. Second is how healthy it is for you. While you may not love it at first, you are definitely getting some major health benefits from it while you learn to love tea.
Now I’m not going to go on and on about all the benefits of tea. What I am going to do is give you some of the best teas from Vyan Tea Company to start with so you can begin your absolutely fantastic journey that will lead you to love all things tea.
Just like coffee, tea has a natural bitterness to it. This is caused by the tannin’s that are in it. So, why not start with a tea that isn’t that bitter to begin with? In my humble, but insanely accurate opinion, I would suggest you start with some fruity teas. Lucky for you, at Vyan, we have plenty of those. Here are some of my favorites:
- Mango Hibiscus herbal tea
- Vanilla Citrus herbal tea
- Organic Strawberry green tea
- Peppermint Ginger green tea
- Organic Peach Apricot black tea
Now if you don’t mind a little bit of bitterness, just like with your coffee, we have some other ones that just might be exactly what you’ll love. These ones are going to have a stronger flavor, more spices and a fuller body with it.
- Masala Chai
- Chocolate Mint black tea
- Organic Cream Earl Grey
- Organic Jasmine green tea
- Organic Pai Mu Tan white tea
So there you have it, some amazing tasting teas for anyone wanting to learn to love tea. This will allow you to begin your journey and soon you’ll realize how of the liquid goodness you’ve been missing. Before this class is dismissed, here are few brewing tips to ensure you make the most of your tea experience.
First, don’t pack your infuser too full. Putting in the right amount will allow the tea to expand in the water which will allow all of the flavors to steep into the water. Second, make sure you follow the directions on all the Vyan Tea Company packaging. This will tell you how long to steep your tea to make sure you get the right amount of flavor. Leaving it in too long can actually make the tea too bitter and gross.
Lastly, don’t overdo it with sweetener. Whether you are using honey or sugar, start out with a small amount and work your way up. Too much sweetener can ruin the tea and then you’re left with a sad cup of tea. As always, here at Vyan Tea Company we are committed to giving you the best and tastiest tea available. So if you need any help or guidance, please just ask and we will take this journey with you.
